The Junior Women's Hockey League celebrated the 2011-2012 season during the league playoffs in Littleton, CO on Friday March 10 at the Hudson Gardens Event Center.  All 10 teams and their coaches and guests feasted on a wonderful meal provided by the JWHL.

Colorado Avalance PA Announcer MIke Haynes served as Master of Ceremonies for the event and introduced all graduating seniors and announcing their college committments for the 2012-2013 season.  All JWHL players who were members of their countries respective National Teams were also recognized, with no fewer than 11 players standing on the stage.  

The JWHL Elizabeth 'Liz' Turgeon Player of the Year Award was also presented at the banquet and the league was honored to have Liz's family attend the event and participate in the presentation.  

Thanks to the Colorado Select organization, specifically Heather Williams and Marnie Hill for organizing the event and the Playoffs this season.  We look forward to the banquet being a part of our playoff weekend every year going forward.
