NAHA to play Team Sweden Nov 3

Team Sweden is in the US having a camp at Bowdoin College in Maine prior to the 4 Nations Tournament that will be held in Newfoundland.

As part of their preparation they will play the NAHA White Team in a scrimmage on November 3, 2pm, Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington MA. This is quite a privilege for the NAHA players, as the only other scrimmage Team Sweden will participate in will be against Team USA prior to the 4 Nations event. The girls will have the opportunity to play against top Swedes who are attending college in the US and many Swedish Olympians.

NAHA White League Play in Boston

By NAHA White 10/09/2010, 5:57pm EDT

NAHA Opens 2010-11 with two wins!

NAHA White opened the JWHL season Friday Oct 8 in Boston with a pair of games.

First off was the MN Thoroughbreds, a good skating, fast team with whom White had great games last season. Both teams are early in their seasons, and the play was up and down, and fast. The final score was 1-0 White.

The evening game at BU was against the Edge School from Calgary Alberta. The girls had a pregame visit from former NAHA players, and current BU Terriers, Taylor Holze, Jill Cardella and Kasey Boucher. White took the game 6-1 for a successful opening day for this season!

NAHA White wins McGill Univ Tourney

By NAHA 11/15/2010, 9:05am EST

White goes 5-0 to the Championship

NAHA White returned to the McGill University Martlet Showdown in Montreal after a few years absence, and took home the Championship in a thriller- a 7-6 overtime game that was eventually decided in a shootout.

Along the way to the finals, NAHA went 4-0 with wins over Okanagan Hockey Academy (BC), College Edouard Montpetit (QC), and John Abbott College (QC), and then an OT semifinal win over Oakville. That set the table for the 3rd meeting this year with Montpetit in the finals. In the second weekend of the year at Nepean White lost 4-0 in a game that showed they'd done their physical testing the week before. They were primed for the Saturday morning game in the round robin, and in a game with great pace and transition, won 4-2. No one saw the run and gun game coming for the finals, but in a game where teams traded leads, it came down to a goal with 1 minute left by White to force OT, that White dominated but couldn't convert.

The shootout saw White goalie Kaitlyn Evans stop the first 2 shooters from Montpetit, while Annie Pankowski and Amanda Pelkey burried their chances to seal the Championship for White!
