Sunday brought an early game to the Blazers schedule against the Washington Pride. BH was able to jump out into the lead in the first period and went into the second with a strong 1 - 0 lead. The Blazers were able to add another one before the period was out but not before the Pride were able to pull within one on a 5v3 power play marker. With both teams fighting for possession in a hard fought third period, the Pride's leading scorer was able to capitalize on a chance to pull ahead 3 - 2 with a final score of 4 - 2 with an empty net goal.

Overall the Blazers showed very well over the course of the weekend and their play was recognized by the league and spectators alike. Going into an off weekend, the Blazers look to continue to improve on an already strong start to the season when they enter the Eastman Showcase October 22 - 24 in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
