Blazers go 1 - 1 on opening day

 

The Varsity Prep team opens the first JWHL interdivisional weekend with a 1 - 1 record in two hard fought games. The first game saw the Blazers take on National Sports Academy from Lake Placid, NY. WIth both teams trading quality scoring chances, the Blazers found themselves up 3 - 2 going into the third, but were not to have the bounces on this day as NSA was able to pull ahead, and withstand a flurry of chances by the Blazers in the closing minutes. Final score NSA 4 - BH 3.

 

In the second game, the Blazers faced off against the Colorado Selects U19 team. In yet another tight checking game the Blazers jumped out to a quick 2 - 0 lead and would not look back. Despite a another close call on a goal against, the Blazers fought hard and battled to a convincing 3 - 1 win.

The Blazers now rest up to take on perennial powerhouse, North American Hockey Academy!
