Elizabeth "Liz" Turgeon Player of the Year Award

Liz Turgeon's Spirit Lives On

Liz Turgeon

"Liz was sadly killed in a car accident in 2010 after her final season with the Colorado Select and since then, the JWHL has given out the "Liz Turgeon Player Of The Year award in her honor. Liz was the kind of player who always was working her hardest to get better every day, but always had a smile on her face and had fun playing the game she loved. She was an incredible teammate who actively made sure that everyone on the team felt included which made it easy for everyone to love her." -Lyndsey Fry
